R&D Construction Group Limited considers health & safety a key issue for the Group.

We are committed to developing a safety culture through training and communication to ensure that everyone who comes into contact with our operations, including employees, sub-contractors, visitors and the general public are protected and safe.

The Executive Chairman has overall responsibility for this area and is supported by the Group Health & Safety Director and internal advisors.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY (Extract)

The Health & Safety at Work etc., Act 1974 requires the Company to publish a statement of its general policy on health and safety together with the organisation and arrangements for implementing that policy and to bring it to the notice of all employees. The following statement fulfils these requirements.

GENERAL POLICY

It is the policy of the Directors of the Company that the operations of Robison & Davidson (Holdings) Limited and subsidiary Companies are conducted in such a way as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare of all its employees and all persons likely to be affected by its operations, including subcontractors and the public where appropriate.

The Directors will keep under review the Company's safety procedures to ensure such measures continue to comply with all relevant legislation, codes of practice etc. and are in accordance with this policy.

TRAINING AND INFORMATION

An integral part of the Company Programme is the training of all employees to ensure that they recognise hazards and understand the safe working procedures and precautions to take. Safety training requirements will be reviewed on a regular basis and whenever a training need is identified the relevant training will be provided using both internal and external resources as appropriate.

In addition to ad-hoc training requirements it is necessary to provide information on new developments in health and safety legislation. This information will be provided to employees affected through the normal channels.

INFORMATION CONSULTATION

Discussions and consultation on a day-to-day basis between Management and Staff is essential in ensuring health and safety across the Company. Many of the problems arising in this field can and must be dealt with through this involvement process. All employees are encouraged to discuss safety and health matters with their Supervisors, Managers and Safety Advisors.
